Scooter Braun is leaving his post in music management. Renowned for collaborating with singers including Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, and Justin Bieber, Braun announced his departure from artist management. After selling his Ithaca Holdings in 2021, he will now concentrate on his position as CEO of HYBE America, which he joined. On Monday Braun announced this on social media.

When Braun thought back on his career, he said, "I have been lucky to have a 'Forrest Gump'-like life, observing and being part of the paths of some exceptionally bright folks. My chapter as a music manager closed 23 years ago.

Braun started his job at 19 and spent two decades running musicians around-the-clock. "My priorities have changed as my children have grown," he said. "I knew my kids were the real superstars I could not afford to lose."

Braun is married to Yael Cohen and has three children: Levi, Jagger, and Hart. 2019 saw him purchase Taylor Swift's music library when Ithaca Holdings paid $300 million for Big Machine Label Group. Later, Swift attacked Braun for selling her master recordings without allowing her opportunity to get them back, which led her to re-record her songs with success.

Braun saw numerous clients, including Demi Lovato, split ways with him as CEO of HYBE America, which runs BTV. Others stayed with HYBE for specific projects while their recording and acting careers were handled elsewhere, like Ariana Grande.

"For the people I have worked with throughout the years, I just have affection. Whether personally or from a distance, I will always be there to help them, Braun said. "Every client has changed my life; I will celebrate their ongoing success."
