Acclaimed writer Neela Padmanabhan's 'Thalaimuraigal' will be made into a movie by director Gowthaman. Besides wielding the megaphone, Gowthaman would be playing the lead role in the film titled 'Magizhchi', alongside Seeman.

'Dindigul Sarathi' fame Karthika and Anjali are the heroines. Prakash Raj will appear in a cameo. Gowthaman, who has directed tele-serials on 'Auto' Shankar and Veerappan, says, "I have always been wanting to make a film inspired by 'Thalaimuraigal'. I penned the script almost a decade ago and was waiting for the right opportunity to make it into a feature film."

"The story prescribes how one can lead a happy and contended life. There won't be a dull moment in the movie. I preferred to do the lead role since I thought only a new face can do justice to it."

Heaping laurels on Seeman, he said, "he readily agreed to play the rebellious character when I approached him. He is a bundle of energy and fits the role perfectly."

The film produced by Athirvu Pattarai will have the musical score of Vidyasagar. Vairamuthu will pen the lyrics while Chezhiyan will wield the camera.
