For days much has been written about Shahid Kapoor's multiple looks for his forthcoming film 'Udta Punjab'. But nothing has been clear about his role in this Abhishek Chaubey's directorial.

Now it has been revealed that the actor plays a singer in the movie.

In an interview Shahid had said that if he wouldn`t have been an actor, he still somehow would have been part of this industry. Shahid`s love for the industry is not even hidden in his movies. He has essayed various parts in his movies where his character is related to various sectors of the entertainment industry. While he played an actor in 'Phata Poster Nikla hero', now he is going to essay a role of Singer in 'Udta Punjab'. So lets see how the 'Rajkumar' charms the audience by his singer avatar.

'Udta Punjab' also stars Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh.
