Produced by Suriya Karthi's upcoming film Viruman starring director Shankar's daughter Aditi is all set to hit the theatres very soon. Last week the audio launch function for this film took place and it was graced by Nadipin Nayagan Suriya.

Speaking at the event, Suriya praised director Shankar and said that he has been "making pan-India films for 30 years". "Shankar sir showed us what it is to make pan-India films long back. He’s been doing it for 30 years, constantly redefining Indian cinema with his movies."

"The anticipation around his films has been always there. Even now, the entire India is looking forward to his Indian 2 and his next film with Ram Charan," the National Award winner added. Indian 2 stars Kajal Aggarwal as the leading lady. The cast includes Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Siddharth. Indian 2, which has been on hold since 2020, is reportedly set to resume shoot in September. RC 15, on the other hand, is a political thriller that reportedly features Ram Charan in two distinct roles. It stars Kiara Advani as the female lead.

On the work front, Suriya is currently busy shooting for his upcoming film Vanangaan directed by Bala. Produced by Suriya and Jyothika under the banner 2D Productions the movie features Suriya, Krithi Shetty and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles. The music for the movie was composed by GV Prakash Kumar, while Balasubramaniam handles the cinematography.
