The thousands of people who thronged to the theaters across the city to catch Thala Ajith's 'Vedalam' on the Deeepavali festival day included prominent celebrities of Kollywood.

Anirudh Ravichander who has scored music for 'Vedalam' watched the film at the early morning 5 am show in Kasi theater in Chennai, considered as the best place to witness the celebrations of Ajith fans over the release of their favourite star. Anirudh was clad in a white shirt and dhoti to watch the film and fans thronged his car to congratulate him and pose for selfies. A few Ajith fans who took charge of controlling the fans' mad rush and also the theater owner had to escort him safely to the screens.

Ajith's wife and former actress Shalini watched the film on the first day in Satyam cinemas. 'Vedalam' heroine Shruthi Haasan also caught the film FDFS in the same theater. Director Shankar and actor Siva Karthikeyan made watching 'Vedalam' as a part of their Deepavali celebrations yesterday in Satyam theater.
