Marking the occasion of ten years of Bommarillu (this one of the best films in the history of Telugu cinema released today in 2006), ace producer Dil Raju has kickstarted Shatamanam Bhavathi that is to star Sharwanand and Anupama Parameshwaran in lead roles. A motion poster was released today, saying also that the release will be in Jan 2016. Despite competition from big-ticket projects like Chiranjeevi's 150th and Balayya's Gautamiputra Satakarni, the producer is intent on releasing it for Sankranthi. Such is his confidence in the script.

"Bommarillu explored the relationship between a father and a son beautifully. Ten years after its theatrical release, we are announcing a movie that will explore the dynamics of the relationship between a grandfather and a grandson. We are expecting Shathamanam Bhavathi to bring our banner the same kind of accolades that Bommarillu did", Dil Raju says.

The director Vegesna Satish has previously directed Ramadandu and Dongalabandi, besides writing big-ticket films like Gabbar Singh and Ramayya Vasthavayya. Dil Raju has given Satish a chance to prove himself.

Sharwa okayed a project after taking enough time post the release of Express Raja, his hat-trick film. As for the heroine, Anupama famously debuted only recently with Trivikram's A Aa. She is yet another Mollywood diva who has been roped in by Dil Raju, the other one being Sai Pallavi.

To be music-directed by Mickey J Meyer, it will be cinematographed by Sameer Reddy. Madhu is the editor.
