Shiva, who started his career as a Radio Jockey in a FM channel has now made it big on silver screen. With boy-next-door looks, he left an indelible mark playing a prominent role in 'Chennai 600 028'. Thanks to Director Venkat Prabhu, who introduced him in 'Chennai 600 028' and followed it up with a neat portrayal for Shiva in 'Saroja' too.

The twin success propelled him to stardom. Today, he has been assigned to do the solo hero in a movie titled '16' to be directed by SD Sabha. Sabha shot to fame with movies like 'Bharathan', 'V.I.P' and 'Punnagai Poovae' among others.

He is currently wielding the megaphone for movies including Navdeep starrer 'A AA EE' and 'Maa' with Bhoomika.

'16' features Madhu Shalini opposite Shiva and the music for the film is by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

"16 is a romantic entertainer. Shiva has familiar looks and he resembles a typical Chennai youth. Hence, I opted for him to play the lead role." says Sabha.

The movie would go to floors on 23rd November, 2008 and it would be a Pongal release.
