Shocking! 940 children died in this hospital this year alone

JK Lone Hospital in Rajasthan's Kota has seen the death of about 940 children in 2019 due to various reasons. This month's count stands at 77 till December 24. The news reports on the spate of deaths in this hospital have come as a shock.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, who hails from Kota, has appealed to Ashok Gehlot, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, to deal with the issue in a sensitive manner. The cause of the deaths is not known as of now.

A high-level committee has been commissioned to inquire into the spate of deaths. If any official or doctor is found to have erred, action will be taken against them once the committee submits a comprehensive report.
