Shreya is the heroine of Rajinikanth starrer Sivaji. Being directed by Shankar, the shooting for the movie is currently on and is expected for proceed for few more months, which would mean that the actress might not feature as Dhanush's heroine in Thiruvilayadal.

Buzz was that Shreya would play Dhanush's ladylove in Thiruvilayadal. When they were about to commence shooting, Dhanush decided to concentrate on Pudhupettai, being directed by Selvaraghavan. Shreya took to Sivaji.

However when Pudhupettai is nearing completion and works are on to commence Thiruvilayadal, Shreya is still very busy with Sivaji.

Now the producers of Thiruvilayadal are busy scouting for a fresh face instead of Shreya.
