Director Gautham Vasudev Menon had last directed Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta starring Dhanush and Megha Akash, and has completed two more movies - Chiyaan Vikram starrer Dhruva Natchathiram and Varun starrer Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha which will be releasing this year.

Gautham Menon who has made special appearances in several movies is now also acting in important supporting roles, and he has acted in Dulquer Salmaan's Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal, Vishnu Vishal starrer FIR Faisal Ibrahim Raiz and few more movies.

Now Gautham has taken a new avatar for Siddharth starer Takkar. Gautham Menon who has sung in movies like Neethaane En Ponvasanthanm, Uppu Karuvaadu and Puppy has now turned a rapper for Takkar, where he will sing rap lyrics in a song sung by Sid Sriram. Directed by Karthik G Krish, Takkar has music by Nivas K Prasanna.
