The Madras High Court has decided against Vishal and dismissed his petition seeking exemption in a sensational case filed by Simbu. This is in connection with the ongoing controversy regarding the flop movie 'Anbanavan Adangadhavan Asaradhavan'.

Michael Rayappan the producer of 'AAA' lodged a complaint that he had lost Rs 16 crores due to the non cooperation and unprofessinal behavior of Simbu, the hero of the film.

Simbu countered that he signed on to play the lead role in 'AAA' for a salary of Rs 8 crores but the producer paid him only Rs. 1Crore and 51 lakhs only. In response, Michael Rayappan lodged a complaint against Simbu with the Nadigar Sangam citing the same issue.

Following this, Simbu filed a defamation suit against Michael Rayappan in the Chennai High Court seeking Rs 1 crore as compensation. In this case, the Producers Council, Nadigar Sangam and actor Vishal in his capacity as the secretary and President of the two organizations was also included.

Vishal had filed a petition seeking his release from the case due to the fact that both the Nadigar Sangam and the Producers Council is now headed by a government official. During the hearing on the petition, Simbu's counsel objected to the removal of Vishal from the case.

After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the judge dismissed Vishal's petition refusing to let him off the case. The next hearing on Simbu's case has been posted to next month. It is worth mentioning that Simbu opposed Vishal and his Pandavar Ani team during the 2015 elections which the latter won by a big margin against the incumbents consisting of Sarathkumar and Radha Ravi.
