Simbu not cooperating with Pathu Thala team? - Official statement

Simbu after a long gap made an impactful comeback with Venkat Prabhu's SciFi thriller 'Maanaadu' in late 2021. He followed it up with a critically acclaimed performance in Gautham Vasudev Menon's gangster flick 'Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kaadu' last year. Now fans are pinning huge expectations on his next film 'Pathu Thala'.

Meanwhile rumours arose from certain section of the media that Simbu is causing trouble for the 'Pathu Thala' team by not participating in the shooting of a new song that also features A.R. Rahman and his son A.R, Ameen. It was further alleged that since the talented star is in Thailand for extensive martial arts training for his next, he is refusing to complete the dubbing of this film.

Obeli N Krishna the director of the film has clarified strongly about the controversy on Twitter. He wrote "Dear all , just want to make it clear, our original idea itself not to bring
Silambarasan in our promo video as per our strategy so, don’t abuse his name for no reason. Our producer K.E. Gananvelraja and his Studio Green has clear idea about promotion of 'PathuThala'. We hate ,hate speech."

Krishna added "Simbu brother completed 'PathuThala' shoot in December itself what we shot yesterday is song between Gautham Karthik and Priya Bhavani Shankar in which we included A.R. Rahman sir also as promo song . This is for particular media people , pl make note of it ."

'Pathu Thala ' is slated for release on March 31st worldwide and the promotional activities are expected to kickstart soon. It is said that the entire month of March will have regular events such as the audio, teaser and trailer launches and Simbu will be back by then to promote the film.
