Simbu as a new type of villain in his next movie?

It has just been announced that Simbu's next release will be the Mani Ratnam multistarrer 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam' which is hitting the screens on September 28th. Simbu shares screen with Vijay Sethupathi, Arun Vijay, Arvind Swamy, Aishwarya Rajesh, Jyothika and Aditi Rao Hydari in the film.

Simbu will soon start shooting for 'Maanadu' directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Suresh Kamatchi. It is now being reported that he is playing a negative role and his behavior would impact the heroine's life in the story. It sure would be interesting to see STR play to the gallery as an out and out baddie. Let's wait for the official confirmation on this news.
