Actor Siva Karthikeyan, who had last played a cricket coach in the sports based drama Kanaa, which was also his maiden production venture, is currently shooting for his next movie Hero, directed by Irumbuthirai fame director PS Mithran.

The movie is produced by KJR Studios, and has Kalyani Priyadarshan making her debut in Tamil as the female lead, besides Naachiyaar fame Ivana also playing a pivotal role. Yuvan Shankar Raja will be scoring music for Hero, making it his first movie with Siva Karthikeyan.

Buzz is that Siva Karthikeyan will be seen playing a bike racer in the movie, and that the actor will be a part of many risky sequences and will undergo a physical transformation for his role. Hero will have Irumbuthirai's villain Action King Arjun turning villain for Siva Karthikeyan for the first time.
