Call it guts from director Sivaji to come out with an action movie with newcomers in the lead. The film is about the travails of a cop, whose serious attempts evoke laughter at times.

Debutant Sivagiri plays the lead role while Rukshana, Shanthini, Risham, Guhan, Vennira Aadai Moorthy, Vasu Vikram among others in the cast.

The film is based on the incidents that happens in the life of Sivagiri, a police officer. He goes to any extent to fight terrorists in the State. His biggest challenge arises when the technology is misused by a terrorist. In his fight against terror, Sivagiri realizes that one man's enemy is another man's hero and sometimes war is the only way to peace.

Sivagiri the newcomer resembles Vijayakanth. He has also tried to imitate the 'Captain'. He appears in khakhi, fights, does comedy and dance too. Rukshana plays his wife, while Shanthini (who acted in Naadodigal) play a part in the movie.

Produced by N Maya, the movie has musical score by Arafin Yousuf. He has remixed "Aatha Athorama". Almost all the songs are loud and peppy. Dususm Sakthivarma handles stunts while Rajamani does the cinematography.

In short, the movie is a fun to watch for providing a serious humour.

Sivagiri - Nothing special
