We all know that Sivakarthikeyan's fantasy film 'Maaveeran' had a big release worldwide yesterday. With positive reviews pouring in, reports suggest that the movie has now started its box office domination by breaching the top 5 day 1 collections in Tamil cinema this year.

Notably, Maaveeran is one of the biggest releases for SK in Tamil Nadu and the USA. According to sources, it is now the fifth-highest Day 1 grosser in Tamil Nadu among Tamil films in 2023. It is being said that Maveeran has minted more than Rs 11 crores around the globe on the first day owing to strong word of mouth.

Amid the slow start without any special shows, this is a massive number for the Sivakarthikeyan starrer. Maaveeran is expected to have a blockbuster opening weekend at the box office.
