Their love is eternal. And for Tamil cinema, love theme is equally eternal.Unakkum Enakkum is a romantic tale of a boy-meets-a girl type, and an interesting narration of events coupled with humor and emotions make the movie click.

With Jeyam Ravi, Trisha, Prabhu and K Bhagyaraj around, there is no dearth for talent in the movie and it goes about smoothly.

The first half is entertaining while the second is more emotional.

A NRI youth from London Santosh (Jeyam Ravi), comes to India with his mother (Geetha) to attend a family wedding. He comes across a young girl Kavitha (Trisha), who also come to attend the wedding. He falls for her instantly. After a few cat and mouse games between them, they finally come close to each other. Now they start to face problems.

Kavitha's brother (Prabhu), who has brought her up in life since the death of their mother, hates rich men for a rich man ditched their mother. For Santosh, his mother is a hitch opposing his affair. What next?

Santosh leaves his house to reach Kavitha's village. When his efforts to convince her brother fails, he finally accepts a challenge from him. Kavitha's brother gives him a piece of land and asks him to come up with more produce than he could. Did he accomplish the mission or not? It forms the climax.

Ravi playing the role is in nice form. He shows lot of spunk and sensitivity in a good role that allows him a chance to parade all his talents. As a doting sister and a hesitant lover, Trisha gets an author-backed character. Trisha is in fact the standout performer. Whether being an impish lover or a loving sister, Trisha manages to bring the right emotions on her face. One of her most memorable performances till date, surely.

Prabhu plays a caring brother and his years of experiences come handy playing the serious role. Bhagyaraj and Geetha, as the rich parents of Ravi, fit the roles to a T.

Also in the cast are Richa Pallod, Tejashree, V M C Haneefa, Manivannan, Kalabhavan Mani and Mouli. Devi Sri Prasad's music gives the movie a major fillip. With a mix of peppy and melodious tunes, the music director plays a major role in the movie.

All in all, editor Mohan and his team have yet again zeroed in on a theme that will appeal to one and all. In a season of never-ending gangster violence, Unakkum Enakkum is a whiff of fresh air. It is cool and comforting for a big success.
