Soori, one of the leading comedy actors in Tamil cinema is now playing the lead role in Vetrimaaran's 'Viduthalai' costarring Vijay Sethupathi and the parallel lead in Ram's untitled project that also has Anjali and Nivin Pauly as the lead pair.

Apart from his busy career as an actor Soori is also running a chain of restaurants called Amman and Ayyan in Madurai that serve vegetarian and non vegetarian foods respectively. On Tuesday, Commercial Tax officials conducted raids at the main branch of the restaurants.

It is said that it was regarding the GST dues for raw materials purchases and the officials have confiscated a few documents. The management of the restaurants has been ordered to appear in person at the Commercial Tax office to give an explanation on September 21st.
