A.R. Rahman shares about an unfulfilled plan he made with SPB

Legendary singer SPB left for his heavenly abode on September 25th leaving millions of fans in grief. He was infected by the coronavirus on August 5th and was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai and fought for his life till his last breath.

A.R. Rahman in his most recent interview has shared that he had planned a special concert with SPB and had even spoken to him about it but it now remains an unfulfilled plan. The Oscar winner has stated that he saw a video of SPB recently singing the song 'Thanga Thamarai Magale" from 'Minsara Kanavu' and was struck by the fact that the legend having retained his voice for so many decades.

It was then that he thought that a full fledged concert with SPB would be a treat for the audience and called the celebrated singer who immediately accepted the idea and the event was planned for sometime early next year when the coronavirus situation could be better. Fans are the real losers here for missing out on this golden opportunity of experiencing the magic of ARR and SPB together on the same stage.
