S. S. Rajamouli is an Indian film director, and screenwriter known for his works exclusively in Telugu cinema. He is known for directing blockbuster films like Magadheera and Eega both of which won the National Film Award for Best Special Effects.

His notable films include the sports drama film Sye, and the social problem film Vikramarkudu, which was premiered at the International Film Festival of India in the mainstream section. The melodramas Maryada Ramanna, and Chatrapathi[disambiguation needed] were remade in various Indian languages, with successful reviews.
