'It has been a few weeks since Sunny Deol officially announced the sequel of his iconic 2001 film 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha'. According to latest developments, the film has now gone on floors and latest images of Sunny Deol and actress Ameesha Patel as their characters Tara and Sakeena are doing round on social media.

On Wednesday, Ameesha Patel shared a photo on Instagram from the sets of 'Gadar 2'. It featured the cast and crew along with several army officers. The actress captioned the post as, "Gadar 2. Muhurat shot. The General was kind enough to grace the occasion.” Although the sequel is taking place 20 years after the original but characters of Tara and Sakeena look like they've barely aged.

Director Anil Sharma also shared a picture from the sets and wrote, "General was kind enough to grace the occasion of the muhurat of our forthcoming film Gadar 2. We are indeed very grateful, Sir.”
