The extravagant audio launch of Aishwarya Rajinikanth's highly anticipated 3rd directorial venture, Lal Salaam, unfolded on Friday at Chennai's Sri Sairam Engineering College.

The event commenced with Rajinikanth making a stylish entrance in the vintage car featured in the film. The audience enjoyed live renditions of all the film's songs, including two performed by AR Rahman himself. Members of the cast and crew took the stage to share their experiences, offering praise to Rajinikanth and director Aishwarya Rajinikanth.

When Superstar Rajinikanth finally addressed the audience, he expressed gratitude to his fans, Lal Salaam's cast and crew, while also extending condolences for the recent passing of singer Bhavatharani and actor-politician Vijayakanth. Rajinikanth delved into details about his character, Moideen Bhai, revealing the inspiration behind the real-life figure from a southern district, emphasizing the film's basis in a 1992 incident. He emphasized the need for protecting identities to prevent opportunistic misuse.

Discussing the film's themes, Rajinikanth touched upon religious harmony and the fundamental tenets of Hinduism. He became emotional while acknowledging his daughter's crucial support during a challenging health period a decade ago. Before concluding his speech, Superstar Rajinikanth returned to address rumors surrounding a previous statement, clarifying that his intention was not to attack actor Vijay. He expressed admiration for Vijay's growth and achievements in acting, politics, and social work. Rajinikanth emphasized the disrespect in labeling them as competitors, highlighting their individual contributions. Superstar Rajinikanth also mentioned that Thalapathy Vijay and himself are competitors to themselves.

Vikranth and Vishnu Vishal play pivotal roles in the film, accompanied by a special cameo appearance by Superstar Rajinikanth and a musical score crafted by the legendary AR Rahman. Lyca Productions, helmed by Subaskaran, proudly presents Lal Salaam, scheduled to hit theaters on February 9.
