Superstar Rajinikanth is known for speaking his mind on any issue and it is the spontaneity that marks his speeches or gestures. Way back in 1994-95, the police harassment that Rajini faced because of being a neighbour of Chief Minister Jayalalitha made him go against her. That is how during the 96 elections Rajini made the famous speech "If ADMK is voted back to power even god cannot save the people". Rajini then was a center figure in the politics of the time as the Congress split with Moopanar forming the Tamil Maanila Congress and aligning with the DMK to win the elections.

In 2010 when the DMK was in power and in a function to falicitate Kalaigniar M Karunanidhi, Ajith made the famous speech about how politicians are forcing actors to participate in functions without their wish. Rajini stood up and clapped for Ajith which irked his good friend the CM.

Now Rajinikanth is again in the middle of the political arena and has delivered yet another speech stating that protests of the people of Tamil Nadu for anything and everything will turn TN into a cremation ground. Though for now there is heavy backlash for Rajini's statement from most political parties, the significance of his speech could well be known in the future.
