Superstar Rajinikanth's upcoming project 'Thalaivar 170' got much bigger after the himalayan success of 'Jailer'. We saw that the film's shooting began with a muhurat puja on October 4th. The biggie is directed by TJ Gnanavel of 'Jai Bhim' fame and is bankrolled by Subaskaran of Lyca Productions.

The first schedule of filming took place in Trivandrum. Fans gathered in huge numbers to get a glimpse of Thalaivar, who interacted with the fans in return. Some pictures and videos of Rajinikanth from the sets went viral. Now, the hot news is that the team will wrap up the first schedule of Thalaivar 170 by today or tomorrow.

But Superstar Rajinikanth won't return to Chennai immediately. He will travel with the cast and the crew to Nagercoil and Kanyakumari for the further shooting of Thalaivar 170. Sources tell us that Manju Warrier, GM Sundar and VJ Rakshan were part of the first schedule. We have learnt that Fahadh Faasil and Rana Daggubati will join the upcoming schedule.

Thalaivar 170 boats an ensemble cast of Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, GM Sundar, VJ Rakshan and others. The technical team has Anirudh Ravichander as the music composer, SR Kathir as the DOP, Philomin Raj as the editor, and the Anbariv duo as the action directors.
