The ongoing strike of FEFSI Employees has allegedly affected the shooting of more than 40 Tamil films including Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kaala', Vijay's 'Mersal' and Sivakarthikeyan's 'Velaikkaran'.

The FEFSI announced a strike from August 1, 2017 demanding high wages and against the Tamil Film Producers Council's decision to use workers who are not members of FEFSI.

Despite the strike call, the Producers Body lead by its President Vishal refused to consider the demands of FEFSI. They said that the shootings will continue without FEFSI workers. However it is said that 40 films have already started getting affected and the list is going to bulge in the coming days.

Now Superstar Rajinikanth has raised his voice against the strike. The sexagenarian actor has released a statement in which he has urged both the parties- FEFSI and TFPC- to involve in cordial talks and find an amicable solution. As a senior artist he has said both the parties should prioritise the common good and start negotiations instead of giving importance to self conceit.

He has also urged the FEFSI to withdraw the strike stating that 'வேலைநிறுத்தம்` (Strike) is one of the words he never likes..

We hope an amicable solution is soon achieved as wished by the Superstar who has completed more than 40 years in the film industry.
