Suriya gives his side of the story

Following a complaint filed by producer Oscar Ravichandran that Suriya has given step-motherly treatment to Varanam Aayiram and has commenced shooting for his next Vel leaving Varanam Aayiram midway.
Negotiations are on at the Producers Council to sort out the issue between Suriya and Ravichandran. However Suriya has denied the charges and said Varanam Aayiram is his dream project.
I am greatly engrossed with the project. After discussions with the director (Gowtham Menon), I chose to do Vel. Varanam Aayiram has an interesting storyline and it needs time to complete the movie. It would be a movie to cherish in my career. It would take time to arrive at a good product. After Khaakha Khaakha, I am joining hands with Gowtham again. Hence expectations among the audience has increased manifold. We have to live up to it, he says and adds, I will not leave the project at any cost.
