Suriya teams withTN Government for a cause!

Actor Suriya, who is currently busy with his multiple projects like Selvarghavan directorial flick NGK which is expected to release in May - June, and the KV Anand directorial action thriller Kaappaan, their third collaboration after Ayan and Maattrraan, has teamed up with TN government.

The actor has acted in a short film for the Tamil Nadu government advocating plastic ban, and he has also produced the same in his 2D entertainment banner. From January 1, TN government had banned plastics across the state and while many have followed the law, several places are still seen using plastic. This campaign has been made focusing on explaining the negative impacts of using plastic.

The short titled Maaralaam Maatralaam begins with Suriya entering a classroom, and explaining the kids on the health impacts of Single use plastics, and concludes with the message on the responsibility of every citizen to keep the environment green and clean and avoid plastics and grow trees. This short film has been directed Harish Ram LH who is directing the adventure movie Thumbaa, and Mersal fame GK Vishnu has did cinematography.
