It was announced before a month that actor Suriya's next movie Soorarai Pottru directed by Sudha Kongara will have a direct OTT release on Amazon prime video on October 30. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the team decided to opt out of a theatrical release.

However, the trailer of the movie hasn't been released yet and the latest reports state that since the movie revolves around Indian airforce, a clearance is awaited from Indian airforce, and the team is yet to get the clearance.

It has been said that if Soorarai Pottru team isn't given the clearance before October 25, Amazon prime might postpone the release of Soorarai Pottru to next month. Besides, Amazon has released a video clip with their upcoming Movies list and this video also doesn't feature Soorarai Pottru. An official clarification on Soorarai Pottru release is expected soon.
