Director Suseenthiran had recently got himself into trouble after he made fun of Niddhi Aggarwal's Tamil fluency and developed an uncomfortable situation during the audio launch of his movie Eeswaran.

Suseenthiran instructed Niddhi to say "Simbu mama I love you" and also told her to speak on topics he mentioned. While the director thought of it as a joke, Netizens felt that the director's behavior wasn't right and condemned him.

Following this Suseenthiran has put up a clarification video along with Niddhi where he said that the character played by the actress in the film would be seen chasing Simbu and tell him to love her and hence he tried the same at the audio launch. Suseenthiran requested fans to understand his intention.
