In the Hindi-language film 'Veere Di Wedding', starring Kareena Kapoor, Sonam K Ahuja, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania, a scene features Swara masturbating. The film has also been in the news for its women characters engaging in sex talk.

The masturbation scene, in particular, has been used to troll the actress. "Just watched #VeerDiWedding with my grandmother. We got embarrassed when the masturbation scene came on screen. As we came out of the theatre my grandmother said "I'm Hindustan and I am ashamed of #VeerDiWedding (sic)," a user said on Twitter.

The actress has made fun of her critics. One Rohan, supporting her, said, "Blackmail had Irrfan Khan beating it off to multiple co-employees wives'photos in the office bathroom and even a fun, lyrical song about masturbation. So please shut your ignorant two cent mouths about queen Swara's masturbation scene in Veere."

One Dr. Gill said, "I watched #VeereDiWedding with my grandfather. I don't know how he felt when that masturbation scene came on screen. As we came out of the theater my grandfather said 'Chal ek baar aur chalte hain'."
