Swarnamalya is happy that her comeback in Tamil has been so far so good.

The television compere-turned-actress announced her arrival with Manirathinam’s Alaipayuthae. But she soon bid bye to acting marrying a software engineer and settled in USA.

Bitten by acting bug, she was back in Chennai to make a charge with Engal Anna opposite Prabhu Deva.

Since then she has been getting steady offers. Her recent release Yuga won her acclaim for her performance.

The actress is now flying high for she plays a prominent role in Periyar, a movie on rationalist leader E V Ramasamy Naicker.

Says Swarnamalya, ‘I am playing the role of a Devadasi in the movie. I have enough scenes which will help me expose my acting skills. Being part of such a prestigious project has given me great joy’.

She shot for a few scenes in Thiruvaiyaru with Sathyaraj recently.
