The personal assistant of Animal Husbandry Minister Udumalai Radhakrishnan was kidnapped at knife-point by a four-member gang in Tamil Nadu's Tirupur.

The incident, which happened in broad daylight on Wednesday morning, was caught on a CCTV camera located in the area. A four-member gang came in a car and entered the MLA's office in Ansari Street, Udumalaipet. A few minutes later, the men kidnapped the minister's PA Karnan in their car. The CCTV footage shows the kidnappers entering the MLA's office at approximately 11 am on Wednesday morning, assaulting Karnan, dragging him out, and pushing him into the car. They allegedly made the victim forcibly sign a couple of documents, following which they abandoned him at Thali near Udumalaipet at around 2.30 pm.

An inquiry regarding the same was conducted by Tirupur Superintendent of Police Disha Mittal and Udumalaipet Deputy Superintendent of Police Ravikumar.
