After the blockbuster result of Kadaikutty Singam, Karthi is arriving on Valentines day with his next, Dev directed by debutant Rajath Ravishankar and costarring Rakul Preet Singh, Ramya Krishnan, Prakashraj and with music by Harris Jayaraj. The team had an interaction with the press yesterday, ahead of the release.

Karthi said that producer Lakshman has been a great friend since childhood, and that he's proud that the grandson of "Madurai Veeran" producer is producing the movie. Dev is a love story but not all about romance, and it is all about loving everything around and doing what the heart says, added Karthi, who went on to praise Rakul for breathing life into her role, and Harris for satisfying his desire of working with him.

Rakul revealed that it was during Theeran shoot that she expressed her desire to do a romantic film, when Karthi asked her to listen to Dev, following which she entered the project. Debutant Rajath said that Dev happened over a casual chat and never thought it would turn his debut, and thanked Lakshman for the opportunity and Karthi for the belief. Producer Lakshman expressed happiness over the way Rajath has made what was narrated as a script, and was amazed at how the team pulled off shooting in adverse conditions.
