The Teaser of 'Kaala', released on March 2, has crossed 20 million views. This is for the Tamil version alone. Superstar Rajinikanth is now the only Kollywood actor who has in his kitty two film teasers that have clocked more than 20 million views on YouTube. 'Kabali' had in 2016 crossed 35 million views.

To be released on April 27, 'Kaala' stars Nana Patekar as the villain. He recently said that he did the role of the antagonist in 'Kaala' only for Rajinikanth. The versatile character artist has even dubbed for his character in Tamil.

Also starring Huma Qureshi, Samuthirakani, Sampath Raj, Sayaji Shinde, Anjali Patil, Manikandan, Dhileepan, Pankaj Tripathi, Ravi Kale, Ramesh Thilak, Arul Doss, Aravind Akash, Sakshi Agarwal, Arundhati, Suganya, and Nithish, the film has music by Santhosh Narayanan and the cinematography by Murali G.
