As a weekend special we conducted two polls that top trended in social media circles and the result has delighted us as our intention was to start a healthy conversation on a touchy subject. Our first poll was which Vijay films you hated most and the choices were Sura`, Puli`, Villu` and Aadhi and the majority voted Sura` (56%). Similarly, our Ajith poll had Aegan`, Asal`, Aanjaneya` and Aalwar` with the majority 48% opting for Aalwar`.

The clear indication from Ajith and Vijay fans' choice of films is very closely related to the critics viewpoints of both Aalwar` and Sura` who panned these films with very low rating. Similarly the box office collections of both the titles are one of the lowest for both Thala and Thalapathy. While most of the blame is squared on writers and directors for dishing out bad films of superstars the fans also have to shoulder some responsibility by not supporting mediocre efforts. This will serve as a good wake up call to their idols who will become more choosy and fans will get better films from them which they can cherish for a long time to come.

It is time to stop hate wars in the names of these two most beloved stars of Tamil cinema and instead fans can participate in the movie making process by giving their genuine feedbacks and there is no harm in also appreciating the work of the rival star that will only bring on goodwill to both sides.

We here have to thank all those fans who have poured pleasant comments that made us negatively trend on Twitter. We never hate you folks. #WeLoveYou
