Thalapathy Vijay's 'Master' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj would have hit the screens today worldwide if the coronavirus pandemic had not wreaked havoc throughout the globe infecting over a million and a half people and killing close to ninety thousand. The Thalapathy fans were downcast today and took to social media to vent their disappointment.

However the 'Master' team has just given them a sweet surprise in the form of a new poster with Thalapathy Vijay sitting with his swag and a killer caption "Lockdown shouldn't knock down our spirits. Master will meet you soon."

'Master' has the dream combo of Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi with an ensemble cast of Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Arjun Das and Shantanu Bhagyaraj among several others. Anirudh has scored the music and the album has become a huge hit. Industry insiders say that the film could hit the screens soon after theaters open up after the lockdown.
