Chiyaan Vikram and Pa. Ranjith's ambitious film 'Thangalaan' is progressing nonstop ever since the shooting began a few months back. The period film set in KGF during British time has music by G.V. Prakash Kumar and is produced by Studio Green.

'Thangalaan' has in the main cast Chiyaan Vikram, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan and Pasupathy. It has just been announced that popular English actor Daniel Caltagirone has joined the cast playing the huntsman. From the character look released it suggests that he will be playing the chief antagonist in the film.

Daniel Caltagirone is a veteran of many worldwide hit films including Jean Claude Van Damme's 'Legionnaire', Leonardo DiCaprio's 'The Beach', Roman Polanski's 'The Pianist' and Angelina Jolie's 'Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle of Life'.
