The intended cast for 'Bahubali' was full of these Bollywood stars

'Bahubali' is often credited to be the first pan-Indian film. Its narrative, large scale spectacle and tight performances made it a monumental piece of art. However, director SS Rajamauli initially had a very different star cast in his mind and if it has been implemented, 'Bahubali' franchise would have had even bigger pan Indian appeal.
Hrithik Roshan was a potential candidate for the titular role. Although it would've been great to see him as Bahubali, Hrithik turned the offer down as he was busy with another film. Actress Sonam Kapoor also revealed that she was offered a part in the film but didn't reveal anything else about it.
Bhallaldev, the towering main antagonist was supposed to be played by John Abraham. However, the actor turned the part down but his loss was Rana Daggubati's profit who did an amazing job with the role. The role of Queen Shivagami was initially offered to actress Sridevi who didn't take it up due to some unknown reasons.
