Actress Kamalinee Mukherjee, who has been roped in to play Kamal Haasan's wife in Vettaiyadu Vilayadu, is all excited about making her debut opposite Kamal Haasan.

A thrilled Kamalinee Mukherjee says, 'my native is Bengal and I was acting in stage plays.'

She had a formal training in acting with the theatre school in Mumbai and appeared in a few commercials. Her big break came in Phir Milenge, directed by Revathy Menon. Then happened the Telugu movie Anand.

A great fan of actor Guru Dutt, Kamalinee says, ‘I was tense when I took to big screen with Phir Milenge. Now I have the same fear when acting opposite such a great actor like Kamal Haasan. I consider this opportunity as a challenge to my acting skills.'

Her new film in Telugu Style with Prabhu Deva, directed by Lawrence, is set for release this Friday all over Andhra Pradesh.

She is also acting in a Telugu film Godavari.

'There is action in the film but let me say that Kamal Hassan and Jyothika star in the film as mature lovers', says director Gowtham Menon.

Kamalinee's shoot begins after Pongal.
