With South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce's Joint Action Committee and Digital Service Providers like UFO and Qube coming to an agreement regarding reducing Virtual Print Fee, theatres in AP and TS will start opening from Thursday.

Here are the details of the new VPF charges that DSPs will charge. A couple of models have been proposed for the producers/distributors to choose from at their will.

E-Cinema

Per Show - 275 (Flat rate for life run capped at Rs 20,000)

Week 3 - 200

Week 4 - 100

Week 5 - 75

D-Cinema

Full Run Flat VPF - Rs 21,750

Per Show - 450

Or

Week 1 - 10,750

Week 2 - 8,550

Week 3 - 6,350

Week 4 - 4,000

Week 5 - 2,000

The reformed rates will be brought into effect from the first Friday of April.
