It was earlier reported that Karthi's next film 'Theeran Adhigaram Ondru' will go on floors from January 2017.

Now the sources confirm that the film's shooting will start on January 17, 2017 after the Pongal festival holidays.

Karthi is playing the role of a cop in this film and he has undergone special training program to portray the character with perfection.

It will be the second film to feature Karthi in the Kakhi attire after the 2011 super hit 'Siruthai'.

'Theeran Adhigaram Ondru' will be directed by H.Vinoth of 'Sathuranga Vettai' fame. The film is being produced by Dream Warrior Pictures banner. Rakul Preet Singh is the female lead of this project which will have the musical score of Ghibran.

Meanwhile the actor has completed shooting for director Mani Ratnam's 'Kaatru Veliyidai' which is expected to be released in March 2017.
