They are stupid rumours: Puri's daughter

A day after Puri Jagannadh tweeted that he hadn't given any statement on the drug scandal issue, his daughter, Pavitra, has reportedly come to her dad's defence.

She has called the rumours about Puri being one of those involved in the drug consumption "stupid". Suggesting that the director is being named because he is a celebrity, the young daughter has urged the media to keep in mind her dad's reputation in society.

Perhaps taking cue from an interview Puri gave years ago, Pavitra has said that brain is her dad's investment. "How can he spoil it?" she has said.
