Actor Madhavan who had last acted in Tamil in the multistarrer Vikram Vedha is next acting in the movie Maara, which is the Tamil version of Malayalam hit Charlie, and this Tamil version also stars Shraddha Srinath and Sshivada and is directed by debutant Dilip Kumar.

Madhavan has also completed his first direction venture Rocketry The Nambi Effect, which is based on the life of former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan, and the movie will be released this year. Rocketry has music by Sam CS, who had also composed music for Madhavan's Vikram Vedha.

Madhavan has now announced on Instagram that he has roped in International singer Mary Chandler Hicks for a song in Rocketry. He had shared a photo with Mary, captioning it "With the fantastic young talent @mary.chandler.hicks who belted out an unbelievable score for #Rocketrythefilm #Rocketryfilm #Nashvillemusic". Rocketry also stars Simran as Madhavan's pair.
