Jyothirmayi's stock seems to be rising in Tamil. The actress started her career in Tamil with an item number in director Charan's Idhaya Thirudan.
However,as a blessing in disguise came Thalainagaram. The movie featured Jyothirmayi opposite director Sundar C. The success propelled her career in Kollywood.
Jyothirmayi is currently acting in Periyar, a movie on the revolutionary leader, Sabari opposite Vijayakanth and in a film named Naan Avanillai.
The film is the remake of an old film directed by K Balachander. It is about a man who gets married to five women under different guises and eventually gets caught.
Sneha too is one of the heroines.
