Thousands take part in yoga event in Canada

Thousand of Indian Canadians took part in the third International Day of Yoga celebrations by performing yoga under the guidance of Yoga guru Baba Ramdev and Sister Shivani in Ontaria.

The yoga session focused on correct postures in Asanas, Pranayam, Savasana, good diet, and the power of meditation and positive thoughts. Several notable Indo-Canadians took part in the event.

Consul General of India in Toronto, Dinesh Bhatia, said that the event helped highlight the holistic benefits of practicing yoga, while Satish Thakkar, Chair of Board of Directors and Organising Committee of the International Yoga Day Canada` (IYDC) said that practicing yoga would greatly reduce the pressure on the country`s public health care system.
