Anushka, who is known as one of the popular faces of Telugu film industry is very sceptical when it comes to choosing films. Unless she likes everything about the script, she doesn’t say yes to it. Well, here are a few films which the actress has rejected in her career till now.

Ponniyan Selvan

Anushka was approached by Mani Ratnam to play one of the leading ladies of the multi-starrer project which has Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai, Keerthy Suresh and many other biggies from across India. But the actress was just not interested to do another period drama and chose to stay out of it by rejecting it.

Kochadaiyaan

This animated film was directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth. In this animated film, Anushka was approached to play the leading actress. But then, she rejected that too as she was not interested. Because she already had a flop called Linga with Rajinikanth. So Deepika Padukone was approached for the role.

Asuran Telugu remake

Anushka was the first actress who was approached to play the leading lady in Asuran remake. Titled Narappa, this Telugu remake is directed by Srikanth Addala and has Venkatesh in lead role. Anushka was asked to step into Manju Warrier’s shoes. But she rejected the offer and Priyamani was roped in for it.
