Following massive outrage against conducting the 10th standard public examinations in Tamil Nadu from June 15, and the strong questions from the Chennai High court, the Tamil Nadu government has announced the cancellation of 10th public Exams.

In an announcement made today, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy made it official that the 10th standard public examinations and the remaining exams of 11th standard are cancelled and all the students will be promoted.

The decision has been taken in the view of the increasing number of Coronavirus cases and the safety threats to students. The marks will be calculated on the basis of the marks secured by the students in quarterly and half yearly Exams (80%) and the attendance percentage (20%).
