The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Minister Thangamani has tested positive for COVID 19 and has been admitted to a private hospital in Chennai for further treatment. Only last evening the minister who also holds other portfolios handed over rupees five crores in-person to Chief Minister Edappadi Pazhaniswamy towards the coronavirus relief fund. The Namakkal office of Thangamani has been sealed and the office workers are also being tested.

Already MLA's from the ruling ADMK party namely Pazhani (Sriperumpudur), Sadan Prabhakaran (Paramakudi), Kumaraguru (Ulundurpettai), and Amman Arjunan ( Coimbatore South) have been infected and are under treatment. Thangamani testing positive and him having met the Chief Minister and other ministers last evening has created a sensation in the political cirlces.
