Tuesday Trivia! Little known facts about 'Bigg Boss 2' contestants

The 'Bigg Boss 2' show has entered its succesful second week and viewers would surely have picked their favorites among them. This weekend will also see an elimination and it would be interesting to know who would be the first to leave the house. Meanwhile we have picked up a few lesser known trivia about this season's contestants which are surely interesting.

NSK Ramya

The "Oh Maya" singer belongs to a lineage of Most Important Person's in the Tamil cinema industry. Her paternal grandfather is Kalaivanar N.S. Krishnan known for his ahead of times comedy and philanthropism apart from being one of the founders of the Nadigar Sangam. Ramya's maternal grandfather is "Nadippissai Pulavar" K.R. Ramaswamy a superstar who ruled the roost before the arrival of MGR and Sivaji Ganesan.

Mahat Raghavendra

Mahat is a classmate and childhood friend of Simbu who introduced him in films like 'Vallavan' and 'Kaalai' and also gave him a role in 'AAA'. His other long time friend is producer Dhayanidhi Azhagiri who cast him Thala Ajith's 'Mankatha'. He was supposed to debut as hero in a super hit Telugu remake but the project did not take off due to various reasons. All that could change with his 'Bigg Boss 2' stint.

Ponnambalam

The fighter turned actor was first noticed in a deadly underground sewage fight with Prabhu in 'Kaliyugam' and later Kamal used him as a comic villain in 'Michael Madhana Kamarajan'. It is said that Ponnambalam who wanted to be an athlete chose the cine field to make money to settle his six sisters which he succeeded. He has also directed a film which unfortunately did not see the light of day.

R J Vaishnavi

Vaishnavi became famous after her women empowerment show on radio. She is the granddaughter of Sa. Viswanathan a father figure in the world of journalism who ran the "Savi" magazine which competed with Ananda Vikatan and Kumudham in those days.

Thaadi Balaji

Before making a name for himself on the television circuit Thaadi Balaji debuted in a movie titled 'Nandhini' directed by Manobala. His subsequent films were mostly with Vijay and Ajith namely 'Nilavae Vaa', 'Vaali', 'Thulladha Manamum Thullum', 'Poovellaam Kettupaar', 'Thamizhan', 'Dheena', 'Shahjahan' , 'Sachein' and 'Sura'.
