Samantha Akkineni's ‘U Turn’, the remake of a Kannada hit, is a mystery suspense thriller wherein the 'Rangasthalam' and 'Mahanati' actress is essaying the role of a journalist.

Since the lead actress is a journo, the makers had recently rented out a newspaper building in Hyderabad to can a few shots. Coming to the current schedule, it's being carried out at a hugely-assembled police station set. Besides Sam, Aadhi Pinisetty, Rahul Ravindran and others are part of this important schedule.

Directed by Pawan Kumar, it has Niketh handling the cinematography. Produced by Srinivas Chitturi of Srinivasaa Silver Screen, the thriller's first look will be unveiled soon.

Bhumika Chawla, Aadukalam Narain, Ravi Prakash, Hari Teja, Birla Bose, and Chatrapathi Shekar are part of the cast.
